Thank you GW for bringing back the Nid drop pods. My impulse buy got the best of me and I picked up a few of these guys. The big question is what to run/build ? I thought this was a no brainer and said Tyrannocytes hands down, but after thinking about the Sporocyst I'm not so sure. The big selling point to the latter is spore mines. They don't contest or hold objectives, they are T1 and 1W, slow, and have no shooting, so why are they good??? Board control . 1 or 2 of these guys doesn't do it, but 40 of them will. I had a good friend spam these out and let me tell you it made my super killy units sooo angry to have to shoot or kill these when a much better target was in sight. It also stopped big boys like knights etc for at least a turn. They also do not give a KP and if you choose to ignore them you get a nice strength 7 or even 10 blast in your face. The entire time the real working part of the army is grabbing objectives and murdering your troops. Back to the cysts. The also shoot blast weapons ( at a poor bs ) but who cares. 3 of them for 300 points pumps out 15, strength 6 Small blasts. Plus they make mines and the giant booger the mucloid spore once per game. Worst part is they don't move, and take up a heavy slot , but the rate of return is pretty good. So I have 3 more to build. I'm leaning toward the spore Vs the tyranno, but what do you think?
Ok, Pics of the test models.

IA:13 infernal Relic(s), Infernal Dreads, and GD Infernal tyrannocytes
My hobby time is now becoming "not sleeping time". I have been painting, building, and organizing 3 armies for the last couple weeks. Mostly in the wee hours of the night due to crazy insomnia, most was done in 2-6am time frames. Just in time for work hooray!!
First up is the Land Raider Achillies Infernal Relic. This is from the Imperial Armor 13 book and it is a doosie. Over 300 points of hard to kill awesome. The quad mortar of hate is so #fullofmurderfacehate. If the vehicle loses a HP you up the strength and lower the AP by 1. Not to be outdone is the 2x twin-linked multi meltas and ceramite armor. Can you say hard to kill. I went with a nurgle theme as I have 2 other regular landraiders that run the Plague fathers colors as well. I also had plenty of icon bits of nurgle to really sell the idea. BTW you can take dirge casters and the other CSM vehicle add-on's as well. Still a WIP but you get the jist.
Next up is the CSM Fellblade. I was going to use this in my mechanicum army, but IA:13 made this possible for my CSM. It only has be started and I'm still deciding on weathering etc, but I'm pumped about this one.
Sorry for the bad pic as I was in a hurry to run out the door.
So dreadnought and helbrutes. The pretty much suck, but I really like the formations and I love dreads still. The IA13 again saves the day and makes them better ( not great ) but now they have some kind redeeming qualities.
Here is a ton of work I just signed up for. ~2 hours a piece for building these guys. The little spore bits are driving me crazy!!! I have built 1 already as Tyrannocyte, but I may do 2 as Sporocyts. I think the latter unit will play a huge roll for the nids. The 4th is a craps shoot for now. Let me know if you have played either unit and your thoughts.

| This is the 4th paint job on the nurgle dread and I actually like it. I used the same scheme as the soul grinder I did in a past post. |

Food for thought:"The WTC Committee responds to cheating accusation"
From the Warmahordes camp: http://wmhwtc.wordpress.com/2014/11/20/the-wtc-committee-responds-to-cheating-accusation/ Courtesy of Terminus Est.. http://greenblowfly.blogspot.com/2014/11/how-warmachine-community-handles.html
This is a great article on gaming and the responsibility of TO's to the community. Mistakes happen like the Feast of Blades dice drama, but I do think this was an honest mistake and the individual assumed responsibility regardless if it was intentional or not ( very classy! ) . This example is however very minor compared to certain large events still having repeats of known issues and continue to try to explain as a friend Vs. acting like a professional organization. Good on you WTC for acting like a organization and not a friend as this helps the community in the long run.

The 40k Glottkin Part 2 (CSM lord and GUO)
Thank you all for sending in great feedback on the models and conversions. I had a few minutes this morning to add some paint and take a few pics of the GUO bits for the Glottkin conversion.
Here's a better shot of the CSM lord. I rusted up the Chain-fist and added blood around the base of the fist.
So here are the nurgling and the plague drone bits ( the tentacle mouths ) that I used to take up the empty space. With all the little guys it reminds me of Ku'gath. I'm planning on getting paint on this in the next few days after I work out a scheme a color base.
Another shot after some rust and wash. I'll add blood spatter to the fist later.
I added some nulin oil wash on just the fist as the recesses were not dark enough. You can also see the skulls behind him that are on top of the SM backpack.
I love the look of the massive bolt gun. It's like a pistol on this guy

Glottkin 40k. The New GUO and 3 models for 1 purchase! relic CSM achilles
Been working on this for a week or 2 now and must say they have been turning out different than I expected but better as well. So Glottkin showed up for fantasy a few weeks ago and I love the model, but I don't play fantasy. So start up the conversion engine and lets get to work.
First the Glottkin is 3 models. 1 big dude, 1 warrior guy, and 1 sorcerer. You can see where I'm going. CSM and Daemons . 3 HQ's for $77. Not bad ( price was via ebay auction i snagged)
So I'm mid way through this and it has been an awesome project to work on so far.
The warrior (AKA CSM nurgle lord ) is a beast!! Chain fist and combi bolter. I modeled on a terminator base as he is a termi lord with almost total corrupt armor.
The sorcery (AKA CSM nurgle sorcerer ) dude will be on a palanquin base and has the plasma pistol and force staff for the win.
The big dude (AKA GUO ) has been a thought process. The other 2 guys are supposed to be standing on him. making blank space. not good. So i filled the space with what any respectable nurgle fan would do. Nurglings!! also some bits from plague drones to fill the holes that had swords and stuff. Massive model. I just wish besides Lord Scabbathrax he was a beefier GUO rules wise.
Last but not least the CSM nurgle Achilles i've been working on. I wanted to do god specific on this as my other LR's are nurlge as well. I also had bits with nurgle heraldry.
So thats my update. Check back for paint updates.

Quick Halloween APOC game
So last weekend i was invited to attend a Apoc game at a local store. 3000 points, LOW if you wanted to play one, Chaos theme ( we ere the bad guys ), unbound with all troops being OBSEC. The TO also added a few rules like gargantuan creatures and super heavies are not a affected by psychic powers. Also a bunch of random stuff like giant killer skulls, tree monsters, and zombies moved about the board killing indiscriminately. 4 players per side and the good guys had a Reaver Titan. We had Lord Scabiethrax and a Warhound that came on in the 3 round. Needless to say it was a blast even though I ran out of time and had to leave. The Reaver pummeled me for the first 2 rounds killing a LOC before he got airborne and a bunch of other stuff. My MVP was the Brass Scorpion and 2 helldrakes ( they are still very very good ). The drakes killed everything ( 3 tac squads, a few HP's on vehicles, and a dev Laz squad ) and would not die. The Brass Scorpion removed 7 hull points from a baneblade, kill a blob squad, a command squad, and some other IG squad. He died though to the titan, a leman russ apoc formation, 2 vendettas, and the baneblade. Was pretty epic. Without the titan to weigh in Chaos at least on my front would have rolled over the imperials.
