Do you even lift Brah?? Chaos Knight Part 1

It's been awhile since I have posted, but have been steadily working on various 30k and 40k projects. The latest Chaos Knight had taken a long time to figure out just the concept of what I wanted to build. More pics to follow, but I wanted to get this crappy cell phone pic in to kick things off.

I went with lots of magnets and made him as Chaos undivided as possible.  Though I did magnetize the chaos god symbols when he takes a specific mark.  The power claw is just AWESOME and makes the model AFAIK. Definete center piece in my KDK army.  Also the Styrix head with in-build dirge caster plays ever so well with the scheme of things. BTW the Styrix Knight was said to lust after battle and even go on murderous rampages so it's not hard to see how this one was rebuilt for chaos. ( I'm writing a full fluffy background for this guy as well if you couldn't tell )

More to come in part 2!!!  ( lots more pics)

Imperial Knight Shield Markers

So I wanted to way to display the shield facing for my knights and have some sort of hull point marker other than my wound counters.  Well enter Mechanical Warhorse. I picked up a bunch of these as they include side and front/rear shield markers and HP counters!!  A great value and I'm sure your opponent will appreciate not having to ask over and over facing directions.

Zup Bro! Questoris Knight Magaera and Radiation Base

So the Mechanicum has procured a new relic from the dark age of awesome. The Magaera knight!  Since this guy came out from FW I was "Must Have!!"

So the knight arrived Friday and I went to work.  I wanted to stick with my Mechanicus paint scheme the rest of my army sports.

First up is the base. I wanted a base that reflected a battle ( maybe hersey era) that radiation was very prevalent and extreme.  Most of my mechanicum army has Rad-cleanser so it was cool to have a base big enough to show Radiation Weapons.

So with the base done next the big guy himself!! I really enjoyed painting this model and assembly was straight forward.

Rad Cleanser on the claw

I wanted it to look like the knight just irradiated the battlefield and on the prowl for enemy targets!
More knights arriving soon :)
